Overview

This course provides you with the concepts and skills to use Adobe Photoshop effectively. You get hands-on practice working with basic through to intermediate techniques to get the most out of your experience. You will use Adobe Photoshop tools for painting, retouching and enhancing images.

   • Image quality and resolution
   • Bitmap and vector graphics
   • Files formats and media
2. Interface
   • Controlling the workspace
   • Screen layout and window arrangements
   • Navigation and zoom shortcuts
   • Guides, grid and ruler
3. Selections
   • Creating selections using the selection tools
   • Refining selections
   • Transform, scale and distort selections
   • Saving and loading selections
4. Painting and Retouching
   • Saving and sharing color pallets and swatches
   • Creating and controlling Gradients
   • Effective use of Brush tools
   • Refining selections
   • Using Blur and sharpen to add depth
   • Perspective adjustments
   • Photo filters
   • Content aware tools
5. Compositing
   • Creating and grouping Layers
   • Cropping images
   • Transform and distort layers
   • Creating Layer masks
   • Working with text
   • Applying and controlling Layer effects
   • Blending and transparency settings
   • Save and reuse Graphic Styles
   • Define layers or import images as Smart objects
6. Vectors in Photoshop
   • Using the Pen tool to create and modify shapes
   • Drawing Shapes from the shapes library
